Have you ever thought about adding a voluntary survey to your app to get feedback from users? As long as you aren't pushy about it, I promise you would get valuable insights. In this post, Lewis shows you how he does it and what kind of feedback he gets.
Side Note: Lewis is a location independent developer. He sold all his stuff and works where he wants. Pretty cool. Give him a follow and check out the rest of his blog.
How to Use Surveys to Get Great Feedback From Your Users by Lewis Smith
When I first released apps, I thought that press coverage was the holy grail. I paid a service to send out press releases. I worked for hours on the perfect wording. I created a list of journalists to email directly. I followed all the guides on how to not be spammy. In the end, I have had almost no press coverage that I initiated. My press coverage has been from others finding my apps useful and talking about them.
In this post, Dan goes over how to reach out to the press. Will I try it again? With the right app, I might. I've learned a lot since then and have been on the other side with this newsletter. Plus, just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean you can't make it work. 😄
