I may have upgraded to the iPhone 7 recently, but I'm still dealing with a dead battery way too early in the afternoon. It seems to happen regardless of how much I use my phone. I'm in the process of turning off background activity on almost every app and monitoring to see if I can isolate the issue to the latest version of iOS or a particular app. Either way, I've decided to install these nifty USB charging outlets in our kitchen. I chose these because had great reviews and output up to 4.8A, which was about as high as I could find.
They're easy to install. As long as you know how to turn off the electricity to the outlet, it's as simple as unscrewing the old, detaching the wires, reattaching to the new outlet, and screwing back in. They work great. My old outlets had lost most of their ability to hold plugs, which was pretty annoying too. If you've considered upgrading an outlet to add USB, look no further.
