Tim Ferris, author of the popular 4-Hour work week book, has challenges throughout the book that are designed to take you out of your comfort zone. He argues that we are too comfortable and don't realize the world around us without challenging ourselves and learning new things. I completely agree and over the past two years have done many things outside my comfort zone, including going self-employed. I didn't realize how much the regular 9-5 was dragging me down until I switched. Sure, it was scary, but I have learned so much about what I like to do and my earning potential, it has changed my life.
In this post, Thomas shows you just how important a little discomfort is in your life. My advice is to start out with a few smaller challenges instead of taking on the world right away.
